I have always been interested in the arts. When I was little I drew cartoons and video game characters. My first drawing was Mario from Mario Bros. As I went through elementary school and high school drawing characters, I eventually became bored of drawing what someone else had already created so my artwork as well as my thinking became much more abstract. Once I understood that abstract is what I wanted to do and what I am, I started drawing figures from my mind without looking at any images. I started painting in Summer of 2012 and continue to paint nearly everyday. I never went to school for visual arts. From my earlier experiences with learning from others on how to draw or paint in school, I didn't want anyone hindering my creativity. So I decided to do what else I enjoy - music and film. I went to the Illinois Institute of art - Chicago for Audio Production. I recorded many different styles of music including; folk rock, heavy metal, rap/hip hop, funk/jazz at the school studio. While going to school I interned at Gravity Studios, known for recording the Smashing Pumpkins, among others. I developed a strong interest in film networking with film students. From there I started working on student films and then independent projects. Sound design is what really got me into film. Post-Production sound is such an interesting field. The creation of sound, manipulation and the end result shape what we hear in the film. I've worked on horror movies, comedies, dramas, music videos, documentaries, etc. I will always love music and film. Art is something I was just born to do.
